FAQ
Which plan should I choose?
Use Free for up to three GIFs per batch with individual downloads. Choose Pro for up to 50 files, ZIP downloads and a size you set yourself. Choose Developer when a script or AI client needs cloud processing. Every browser batch has a 200MB total limit.
Does annual billing change the features or API allowance?
Pro monthly and annual have the same browser features. Annual Pro costs $49 for the year, equivalent to about $4.08 a month, charged annually. Developer annual costs $278 and grants 5,000 credits each month, not 60,000 at once. Unused credits expire at the end of each monthly window.
How many GIFs can I process with 5,000 credits?
A GIF up to 5MB costs 1 credit in quality or size mode and 2 in target mode. A 12MB GIF costs 2 or 4 credits respectively. For example, 100 small GIFs in quality mode use 100 credits; the same batch in target mode uses 200. The allowance covers at most 5,000 small GIFs in ordinary modes.
What happens when credits run out?
New cloud jobs pause until the next allowance window. There are no automatic overage charges. Free API resets each UTC calendar month; Developer resets monthly at the subscription anchor, including annual plans. Browser compression does not use credits and remains available.
Am I charged for failed jobs or a missed target?
Invalid inputs, processing failures and timeouts do not spend user credits. A successful job with valid output is charged even if targetMet is false. Status checks, downloads and replaying the same idempotent request do not add another charge.
Can I cancel or change my subscription?
Manage your subscription from billing settings. Canceling renewal keeps access until the paid service period ends. A plan change shows its charge and effective date before payment; unfinished payment does not unlock new benefits. Keep the original tool tab open while signing in or purchasing so your selected files remain there.
Can I request a refund?
You can request a refund within seven days of your first Pro or Developer purchase. Developer is eligible only if no paid credits have been consumed. Renewals are excluded. Send your account email and payment reference to support@compressgif.net; canceling renewal by itself does not submit a refund request.
