CompressGIF processes browser GIFs on your device. REST API and MCP jobs run in the cloud. This policy explains the account, payment and technical data used to provide those services.

When you sign in with Google, we store your verified email address, name, profile image and Google account identifier. Session cookies keep you signed in; session records include your IP address and browser information for account security. We do not request access to your Gmail messages.

For subscriptions, Stripe processes payment details. We store Stripe customer, subscription and transaction references, plan, amount, currency and billing status to provide paid access and handle support. Your full card number is not stored by CompressGIF.

The browser tool does not upload your GIF. Importing a URL contacts the site hosting that image directly. API and MCP requests upload a file or ask our service to fetch a public HTTPS URL. Cloudflare hosts the application, database and file storage. Access to API input and output files expires after 24 hours; download links last up to 15 minutes. Background cleanup removes expired files, so physical deletion may happen later.

We record technical usage events such as compression success or failure, input and output size, target status and downloads in Cloudflare service logs to measure reliability and usage. These events exclude filenames, source URLs and file contents. Cloudflare also processes request data to deliver and protect the service. Product event logs are retained for up to 7 days.

We use Plausible and Google Analytics to measure page visits, referral sources, and browser and device information. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visits. We do not send GIF contents, filenames, account email addresses or API keys as analytics properties. Browser privacy settings and content blockers may prevent these services from loading.

Account and billing records are retained while needed to provide the service, resolve payment issues and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Delete your account in settings or contact support@compressgif.net for access, correction or deletion requests. Outstanding subscriptions must be resolved before account deletion; deleting an account does not delete records Stripe must retain. CompressGIF support handles privacy questions at the same address.
