GIF tools
Choose a tool by what you want to change: the picture, playback, or file format. Eight tools work without an account. Video to GIF and GIF to MP4 require Pro or Developer. Your files are processed on this device.
Resize GIF
Resize an animated GIF by pixel width or percentage, keeping its aspect ratio. Preview and download the resized GIF for free, with no file upload or account.
Free
Crop GIF
Crop an animated GIF with a draggable rectangle or square, or enter exact coordinates. Keep the selected area across every frame, free in your browser.
Free
Change GIF speed
Speed up or slow down an animated GIF from 0.25× to 4×. Adjust frame delays, preview the playback and download a GIF without uploading your file.
Free
Reverse GIF
Reverse the frame order of an animated GIF and keep each frame’s delay. Preview and download the backwards GIF for free, with files processed locally.
Free
Rotate and flip GIF
Rotate GIFs 90°, 180° or 270°, or flip horizontally or vertically. Apply the change to every animation frame and download a GIF free in your browser.
Free
Trim GIF
Trim an animated GIF by start and end time. Keep a continuous clip, preserve its frame timing and download the shorter GIF free without uploading files.
Free
Make GIF from images
Make a looping GIF from up to 20 PNG, JPEG or static WebP images. Reorder pictures, set a shared frame delay and download the animation free in your browser.
Free
GIF to animated WebP
Convert GIF to animated WebP free in your browser. Keep animation timing, transparency and loop behavior, then compare the downloaded file size yourself.
Free
Video to GIF
Convert a video clip to GIF with Pro or Developer. Accepts H.264 MP4 and VP8/VP9 WebM up to 50 MB; choose up to 30 seconds, width and frame rate.
Pro
GIF to MP4
Convert GIF to a silent H.264 MP4 with Pro or Developer. Export one animation cycle, fill transparency with white, and download the video from your browser.

Which GIF tool should I use?
To fit a whole animation into a smaller space, resize it. To remove an edge or make a square avatar, crop it. To shorten the animation, trim its start and end. These operations change different parts of a GIF; reducing its width does not set an exact file size in KB.
If an upload fails because the file is too large, start with the GIF compressor. You can also edit a GIF here, then choose Continue compressing on the result. Compression still follows the original file and animation limits.
GIF, animated WebP or MP4?
Keep GIF when the destination asks for a .gif file or you need a looping image. Choose animated WebP when the destination accepts it and you want to keep transparency. Convert to MP4 when you need a video file: this tool creates a silent H.264 video with a white background.
A format change does not guarantee a smaller file. Compare the downloaded size, preview the animation and check that the destination accepts the output format. Renaming .gif to .mp4 or .webp does not convert the file.
Choose a starting point for a new animation
For a sequence of still pictures, use Images to GIF. You can order up to 20 PNG, JPEG or static WebP files and give every frame the same interval. For an existing MP4 or WebM clip, use Video to GIF and choose the start, end, width and frame rate.
Start with a short clip and modest dimensions. More pixels, more frames and longer playback increase the work your browser must do. If processing fails, reduce these settings before retrying.

Which GIF tools are free?
Resize, crop, speed, reverse, rotate and flip, trim, images to GIF, and GIF to WebP are free without signing in. Video to GIF and GIF to MP4 require an active Pro or Developer plan. You can select a file before upgrading; the purchase page opens in another tab.
What are the file and animation limits?
GIF inputs are limited to 10 MB on Free and 50 MB on paid plans. A GIF can have at most 1,000 frames, a maximum side of 4,096 pixels, and 50 million frame pixels in total: width × height × frame count. Images to GIF accepts up to 20 still pictures totalling 50 MB. Video input is limited to 50 MB and each exported clip to 30 seconds. Animation budgets can require a shorter or smaller output even when the source file fits. A single result is limited to 50 MB; GIF results sent to the compressor must also fit your plan’s input limit.
Are my files uploaded or saved to an account?
These tools process file contents in your browser rather than uploading them for conversion. Files and results stay in the current page memory. Download the result before refreshing or leaving; tasks are not saved to your account.
Why does the first task need a download?
The first processing task loads about 32 MB of processing components from this site. That network download is separate from your selected files, which stay local. If loading fails, check your connection and retry. If processing fails after loading, try a smaller file or shorter animation; available browser memory varies by device.
